I'm a family photographer passionate about capturing your story through raw emotion and authentic moments.
My dreams often seem to be a bit bigger than life can accommodate but I refuse to stop dreaming and slowly love seeing dreams come true whether it’s watching my kids play in the dirt while I work in our gigantic garden or cozying up in bed with a book at the end of the day alongside my husband. Ask my friends and family or especially my husband and you’ll find out I’m frequently dreaming of our next international travel adventure. I love the experience of exploring somewhere new and sharing it with those closest to me. It’s something both my husband and I both enjoy and we try to prioritize that for our family even while our kids are little.
Don’t get me wrong, my life is real and messy just like anyone else’s and I definitely have my moments where I just want to sit down and cry at the end of the day because my house looks like a tornado went through, my kids wouldn’t take their naps and nothing I set out to accomplish on my “to-do” list got done but then I remind myself that the most important thing at the end of the day is that my kids felt loved and that I was the best mom I could be to them for that day and I breathe a little deeper and thank God for the gift of this messy but beautiful life I live and love.
Somewhere I haven't been before, especially if it's a new country! I have visited 43 countries and 49 states!
I have dual nationality which means I have two passports. I also play four instruments (harp, violin, piano, organ) and direct my church choir.
My husband and I built our little home mostly on our own and so I know quite a bit about building and have some hidden construction skills!
(What really is free time as a toddler mom?!) but I love sourdough baking, gardening, anything artsy, reading & adventuring outside with my family.
Vegan yogurt and cheese making, learning how to score sourdough bread, natural fiber clothing.
My family and faith! Those are the most important things in my life and I am constantly trying make sure they are top priority.
Capturing true connection and emotion is my number one priority in every session. I always seek to establish trust and a relationship at the beginning of the session. Sometimes it can take a few minutes to get kids to warm up and that is one of the reasons why full-length sessions are my favorite because it gives time for everyone to relax and for all the creativity and fun to bubble to the surface!
One of the reasons I started pursuing photography was because it was a creative outlet and I loved exploring my creative side and seeing it displayed visually. Since transitioning to becoming a professional photographer, I prioritize taking moments for the extra creative shots because not only does it make me a better photographer when I can do what I love, but it gives you a gallery that is full of emotion and art!
